...what to blog about. So let's start with today is my 49th birthday. OMG, how did that happen? What have I been doing for the last 30 years? How did they go by so fast? And, what about next year and the BIG 50!!! It makes my head spin.
Of course, I have friends and family to count on to get me through...like my boyfriend, Paul, who hit the "big one" a couple of years ago and signed me up for AARP with him (thanks honey); and my sister, Mickey, who is 10 years older and on my 40th birthday lamented "Oh no, my little sister is 40 and my baby girl is 27. What does that make me?" Well, it made her 50. Didn't she know that already? How can one not feel that one?
They say age is just a number. I guess that is true to some extent. Maybe the fact that I am having trouble reconciling the number with how I feel and where I am in my life is a good thing. Things are good; better than they have ever been, so why worry about a number?
Oh, and even better, Paul and Mickey, I will always be younger than you!
